We got back a few days ago..honestly ~ I'm still cleaning up, doing wash, etc. The last load of vacation laundry is in the dryer now.
Vacation was great ..much needed...next year ~ I'm thinking two weeks!!!!
I have almost 200 pictures ~I'll go through them and pick out a few of the best and share them.
Anyway...
Jonathan started school yesterday (Thursday) ..he was nervous but when we picked him up from the bus stop he told us that he LOVED it and was happy that he went back (like he had a choice...lol). Thomas starts school on September 1st ~ Open House August 31st. He is VERY excited about meeting new friends, his teacher and sitting at his desk.
Today we stopped at my Grandma's for a minute ~ Thomas wanted to stay and my Grandma said she would watch him so I left, came home and was able to finish all of my cleaning ~ its amazing how much faster I work without a 3 yr old helping.
I was putting away another load of laundry and my phone started ringing. I looked at the caller ID and seen it was my Grandma. I answered it and she told me that Thomas was fine but he really wanted a meatball sub (I had promised him one this morning ~ I'm not doing a subway run at 7am). She tells me that he wants to talk to me ~ I remind her that he won't be able to hear me but she gives him the phone anyway.
Here's the conversation:
Thomas : Hello Mom ...where are you
Me: Hello Thomas, I am still at home cleaning (I was about to repeat myself...I didnt
think he heard me)
Thomas: Oh..OK Mom. You bringing a meatball sub for me?
Me: Yes, Thomas..I'll stop at subway before I pick you up
Thomas: OK Mom...Bye Bye ~I'm going outside to pick up sticks (we had a wicked storm last
night so there were alot of sticks in Grandma's backyard)
Me: Bye Thomas...I love You
Thomas: Love You Mom, Bye
I was so happy. My Grandma didnt have to repeat anything I said...he heard me perfectly clear and answered all of my questions.
Thank God for the CI...I am able to talk on the phone with my profoundly deaf son!!!
